To reduce the risk of water leakage or flooding, and to ensure optimal filter performance:

reduction in water flow rate.
• Failure to replace the disposable filter cartridge at recommended intervals may lead to reduced
filter performance and cracks in the filter housing, causing water leakage or flooding.
1. Turn off the refrigerator's water source.
If this cartridge is being used as a refrigerator filter, please depressurize the refrigerator in one of these three
ways:
1) Shut off water flow to refrigerator/filter. Place a cup under the dispenser area to catch water and depress the
dispenser activator. You can now change-out the cartridge.

replace the ice-maker tray/bucket. When the ice-maker calls for ice, the system will be depressurized and you
can now change-out the cartridge.
If this cartridge is being used in conjunction with a commercial or large volume residential ice-maker system,
please depressurize the system as follows:
Shut off water to the ice-maker system. Place a towel under the filter to catch and water spray. Disconnect the
filter from the water line. A small water spray is normal.
