INTRODUCTION
This manual describes the basic function and use instructions for model TL3 portable digital reference thermometer instruments. The
instruments are not intended for use in permanent outdoor installations and are not intended or tested for icing conditions.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT (Type CR2032)
Remove the single screw and back cover on the TL3 to access the battery.
IMMERSION DEPTH
For best measurement results, a minimum immersion depth of 4 inches into the temperature source is recommended.
USER INTERFACE
Function Button
"Power" Button
Pressing the Power button once will turn on the device. The instrument will shut off automatically within 20 minutes.
Pressing and holding the Power button for 4 seconds will disable the Auto-off feature. ('Conn' will flash momentarily to indicate
Continuous operation).
Pressing and holding the Power button will shut the instrument off and clear all logged and averaged readings.

Hold and Release
when display reads "oFF"
