MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning or maintaining the unit, unplug it from the power source.
To extend the useful life of the unit it is recommended to clean the appliance regularly
and carefully in order to protect it. Follow the directions given below:
Glazed parts and top glass should be washed with warm water. Avoid using strong
detergents or solvents as this may damage your finish.
The removable parts of the unit should be washed with water and mild detergent.
Always be sure to remove stuck foods.
On units with automatic igniter mechanism, be sure to clean the electronic ignitor
carefully and frequently. Make sure that the gas holes are not plugged.
The stainless steel surface may be stained if it remains in contact with highly
calcareous water or very strong detergents (containing phosphorus) for a very long
period of time. To avoid this, it is recommended that these parts be washed thoroughly
with water and dried thoroughly. It is also recommended to clean up any spills that
may occur as soon as possible.
While the cooking surface is warm, clean it with a suitable cleaning product and paper
towels, then rub with a damp cloth and dry surface. Such as aluminum foil, plastic
items, objects made of synthetic material, sugar or foods with a high sugar content
that have been melted onto the surface, it must be removed immediately.
While the cooking surface is still hot, clean it with a scraper and a transparent
protective film which prevent to make more dirt. This also protect the surface from
damage caused by food with a high sugar content.
Do not use abrasive sponges or cleaning products, these holds true for chemically
aggressive cleaners, like oven sprays and stain removers (Fig.2);
