This installation manual shows the correct
handling of the product and important
precautions necessary to prevent
accidents. Read this manual thoroughly to
ensure correct installation.
For customers
Never carry out the installation work described in
this manual by yourself. Doing so may cause an
accident leading to serious injury and even death.
Be sure to request a Sony service representative to
install the unit.
On Safety
Sony products are always designed with safety in
mind. However, incorrect installation is dangerous
and may lead to injury through the unit falling or
toppling over. Be sure to observe the precautions to
prevent such accidents.
CAUTION
If the following precautions are not
observed, injury or property damage may
occur.
Do not install in a location exposed to
rain
Although this unit has received IP54 certification, this
does not mean it can tolerate being used outdoors.
Carry and unpack the display using
lifting equipment
Be sure to use a crane or other lifting equipment to
carry and unpack the unit to prevent an accident.
Do not install on an unstable surface
Installing the unit on a wobbly table, uneven surface
etc. may lead to injury through the display falling or
toppling over.
Also make sure that the installation location is
sufficiently strong.
Do not install in an unventilated
location
Installing the unit in an unventilated location can lead
to the unit overheating due to being insufficiently
cooled.
There is a risk of fire or malfunction so do not install
in such a location.

Carry out anti-tipping measures during
installation
When positioning the unit, take measures to prevent it
from overturning just in case.
Do not install or store in direct sunlight
or near a heater
The internal parts may overheat and lead to a fire or
malfunction.
Disconnect the power cord and
connection cable during moving
If you move the unit when it is still plugged in, the
power cord or connection cable may become damaged
and lead to a fire or electric shock.
WARNING
When installing the unit, incorporate a readily
accessible disconnect device in the fixed wiring, or
connect the power plug to an easily accessible
socketoutlet near the unit.
If a fault should occur during operation of the unit,
operate the disconnect device to switch the power
supply off, or disconnect the power plug.
On installation
• Always verify that the unit is operating properly before
use. SONY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES
OF ANY KIND INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO,
COMPENSATION OR REIMBURSEMENT ON
ACCOUNT OF THE LOSS OF PRESENT OR
PROSPECTIVE PROFITS DUE TO FAILURE OF THIS
UNIT, EITHER DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD
OR AFTER EXPIRATION OF THE WARRANTY, OR
FOR ANY OTHER REASON WHATSOEVER.
• Leaving this unit in an unventilated location will prevent
it from cooling. The unit will retain its heat. This can be a
cause of fires or damage to the unit. Avoid leaving the unit
where cannot cool properly.
• Do not install the unit in a location near heat sources such
as radiators or air ducts, or in a place subject to direct
sunlight, excessive dust, mechanical vibration or shock.
• When you install multiple equipment with the unit, the
following problems, such as malfunction of the remote
control, noisy picture, noisy sound, may occur depending
on the position of the unit and other equipment.
• If you install the unit in a place where there is water, be
particularly careful about using it too near water.
Although this unit has received IP54 certification, it
cannot tolerate a constantly wet environment.
