    Power supply The Paxos Compact electronic lock is powered by 6 batteries (1.5 volt alkaline, type UM3 or LR6). When the battery power decreases, "Battery empty" is shown on the display. However, the lock can still be opened. As soon as the battery power drops below 6.5 volts, the lock can no longer be opened, and the batteries must be replaced.
