- Page 4 STEP Use a clear, flat, soft surface to avoid bumps or scratches. Place table top [1] on flat surface with metal squares facing upwards. Screw 1 x metal rod [A] into each metal square on table top [1]. Thread leg panels [2] onto rods, followed by table base [3] Secure everything together by placing 1 x washer [B] followed by 1 x nut [C] into the holes in the table base, over each exposed rod end.
