Good Afternoon, I have a 1936 austin seven that has been fitted with a robin reliant engine, could you tell me how to identify which engine it may be?

The engine type of a Reliant ROBIN 850 can be identified by the following specifications:

- 4-cylinder in-line engine
- Bore: 62.50 mm (2.46 in)
- Stroke: 69.09 mm (2.72 in)
- Cubic capacity: 848 cc (51.75 cu in)
- Compression ratio: 9.5:1 at 140 psi
- Valve clearance (Hot): Inlet and Exhaust 0.25 mm (0.010 in)
- Valve clearance (Cold): Inlet and Exhaust 0.152 mm (0.006 in)
- Maximum brake horse-power: 40.00 at 5,500 rpm
- Max torque: 5.53 kgm (46 lbft) at 3,500 rpm
- Forged steel crankshaft on three steel-backed main bearings
- Diecast aluminium cylinder head and block with removable wet liners

These characteristics can help confirm if the engine is a Reliant ROBIN 850.
