IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
9. Warning! Do not heat liquids or foods in closed containers as they may easily explode.
10. Only use dishes suitable for use in microwave devices.
11. Supervise the device when heating or cooking food in flammable materials such as plastic or paper
containers to prevent the risk of a fire.
12. If the device begins smoking, turn it off or unplug it and leave the door closed to smother any
flames.
13. As heating drinks in microwaves can result in superheating (boiling delay), exercise caution when
handling the container.
14. Stir or shake the contents of baby bottles and glasses with baby food and check the temperature
before consumption to prevent burning.
15. Eggs in the shell or whole hard-boiled eggs may not be heated in microwaves as they may explode
even after heating in the microwave is finished.
16. Failure to keep the device clean may result in damage to its surfaces. This may shorten the service
life of the device and pose certain hazards.
17. Risk of electric shock! Never attempt to repair the device yourself. In case of malfunction, have
the device repaired by qualified professionals only.
18. Warning! Never submerge the device's electric components in water or other liquids during use or
cleaning. Never hold the device under running water.
19. Regularly check the power plug and power cord for damage. If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
danger or injury.
20. The device is intended for free-standing use. The device may not be flush-mounted or installed in a
cupboard. Place the device on a flat, even and stable surface. Ensure there is sufficient clearance
around the device (30 cm at the front and 20 cm on both sides). The back of the device, however,
must be placed on a wall.
21. Do not use the device if it is damaged! Disconnect the product from the power supply and
inform your retailer if the device is damaged.
22. Prevent damage to the cable due to squashing, bending or scuffing on sharp edges. Keep the
power cable away from hot surfaces and open flames.
23. Lay the power cable in such a way that it cannot be pulled on or tripped over unintentionally.
24. If you use an extension cord, it must have an appropriate power rating.
25. Do not operate the device with moist hands or while standing on a wet floor. Do not touch the
power plug with wet or moist hands.
26. Never open the housing. Do not insert any objects into the device interior.
27. Use of accessory parts not expressly recommended by the manufacturer may result in injury and
damages. For this reason, use original accessory parts only.
28. Do not place any heavy objects on the device. Do not place any objects with open flames (e.g.
candles) on or near the device. Do not place any containers filled with liquids (e.g. vases) on or
near the device.
29. Do not tug the cord to unplug it and do not wrap it around the device.
30. Connect the power plug to an easily accessible power outlet so that the device can be unplugged
in case of an emergency. Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet to turn off the device
completely. Use the power plug as an emergency means of disconnecting from power.
31. Unplug the device before cleaning and for extended periods of disuse.
