Operating AUX

With the AUX function you play the music of the flush-mounted radio on an external device. E.g.
a HiFi system. The music of the external device can also be played on the flush-mounted radio.
For additional information about the AUX connection, see chapter 6.5.2 "AUX (Auxiliary)" on
page 21.
For examples of device compilations for the use of AUX connection, see chapter 9 "Case
studies" on page 80
Via an input gain the volume of played music can be matched to the other favourites, see
chapter 8.3.22 "Menu "Settings" – "AUX input gain"" on page 65.
Hearing music on the flush-mounted radio
To play music of an external device on the flush-mounted radio, the following settings must
have been made:
The "AUX" mode of the flush-mounted radio must be set on "AUX input".
For setting AUX mode, see chapter 8.3.21 "Menu "Settings" - "AUX"" on page 64.
The favourite "AUX" is only visible when the AUX connection has been set on "AUX
input" in the settings.

Use the following steps to play music on the flush-mounted radio:
1. Switch the flush-mounted radio on.
After the device is switched on, the favourite that was last listened to is displayed.
2. Press button "ENTER" [3] as often as required until you have changed to the "AUX"
favourite.
The current favourite number [1] is shown at the top right-hand in the display.
Favourite "AUX" is the last of the stored favourites.
After the change to the "AUX" favourites, the AUX function is active. The AUX icon [2] is
displayed.
3. Switch on the external device.
The operation of the external device depends on the respective device.
The audio channel of the external device is played on the flush-mounted radio.
