Step 1: Always wear eye protection!
Step 2: Remove all lug nuts from the hub assembly. (Depending on severity of stuck
rim, apply penetrating oil to the studs and between the wheels to aid in removal of
stuck rims.)
Step 3: Install the Rim Wit on the stuck rim using 2 lug nuts. (Hand tight is sufficient).
Leave the Center Hub Bell in the neutral position and not touching the axle or hub as-
sembly.
(In certain instances, the wheel studs may prove to be too short to allow for pulling. To
extend the length of the studs, install the lug nuts with ¼ thread. Then install the Rim
Wit. This will give enough room for the Rim Wit to effectively remove the wheel.)
Step 4: Attach the pull hooks to the stuck rim. The chains should be straight with the
Rim Wit. Failure to do so may cause damage.
Step 5: Lower the Center Hub Bell using the provided bolt until it touches the axle or
oil cap. (In some applications, removing the oil cap to prevent damage to the cap) The
Center Hub Bell prevents the wheel studs from being pushed in.
Step 6: Tighten the Rim Wit pull chains by alternating force on each side of the drive
nuts.
Repeat until the wheel is
DO NOT EXCEED 800 FT. POUNDS OF TORQUE.
loose.
