- Page 3 MOUNTING THE BRACKET TO THE BOAT Place the assembled bracket on the desired location of your transom. Check to make sure there are no obstructions on the inside of the transom. Hold the bracket in place. Make certain that the bracket is level with the transom. Mark at least two (2) upper and two (2) lower hole locations using the assembled bracket as a template.
