- Page 3 ASSEmbLY, uSAGE & mAinTEnAncE ASSEmbLY installing top handle 1. Install the top handle (A) Fig.1 onto the shaft on the top of the canister filter, align the hex. bolt (B) with the flat of the shaft, slide handle onto shaft and tighten hex.
