FLOW CHART NO.6 INFRARED R/C TROUBLESHOOTING
No operation is possible from infrared remote control.
Dose the infrared remote control function?
Is the supply voltage of 5V fed to pin(3) of remote
control receiver?
Is"L"pulse sent out from pin(1) of the receiver
when the infrared remote control is activated?
Check between at pin(1) of receiver thru pin(32) of
IC504.
FLOW CHART NO.7 SYSTEM CONTROL TROUBLESHOOTING(1)
Unit is in standby but won't power up.
Does the P-CON(H) signal at pin(116) of IC504
change from "L" to "H" level?
Dose the base of Q9005 change from "L" to "H"
level?
Are the circuits of AUDIO 9V SW turned on?
FLOW CHART NO.8 SYSTEM CONTROL TROUBLESHOOTING(2)
The disc tray cannot be opened and closed.
Is 0.6V fed to pin(95) of IC504?
Is the signal input from Pins (70), (69) of IC504 to
Pins (2), (4) of IC701?
Is the loading motor drive voltage output from Pins
(9), (7)of IC701?
Is the loading motor drive voltage applied to Pins
2, 3 of AG connector?
Is the voltage applied from AG connector to
loading motor?
Check engagement of mechanism and gear and
check for damage.
FLOW CHART NO.9 FOCUS TROUBLESHOOTING(1)
Focus failure.
Remove the disc. Dose the optical pickup move up
and down?
Set the disc. Does the pin(27) of IC303 output the
FE waveform?

relay PWB and between mechanical relay PWB
and loading motor.

Is the input waveform at pins(57),(58),(59) and (60)
of IC303 present?
Is the output waveform at pins(17) and (18) of
IC301 present?
Check the connection of optical pickup cable.
If OK, optical pickup is defective.
