    CONNECTING TO A TV OR A STEREO TV THAT HAS COMPONENT VIDEO IN JACKS Set Dolby Digital and DTS to OFF on the DVD Player. If you play a DVD when the settings are wrong, the sound will be distorted or you may damage the speakers.

    CONNECTING TO A DOLBY DIGITAL DECODER If using this DVD player to play back a DVD in a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital surround or DTS surround format, the DVD player outputs a Dolby Digital or DTS data stream from its COAXIAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT jack.

    Turn on the power of the TV, amplifier and any other components which are connected to the DVD player. (Change the input system to suit the DVD player, and check that the sound volume is correct.) Press the POWER button.

    CHANGING THE SUBTITLE LANGUAGE The DVD player has a function which allows you to select the desired language for subtitles. Press the SUBTITLE button during playback, and then press the SUBTITLE button to select the desired subtitle language. ¡ The subtitle language can be changed if the subtitles are recorded in multiple languages on the DVD being played.
