Troubleshooting
Rhapsody Channels
Symptom
No artist information is
displayed in the "Artist
Information" screen.
Though the subscription
has not expired yet, the
message of subscription
expiration notice or
appears.
Cannot search for other
songs, albums, and artists
by the song information of
the currently playing song.
Display
Symptom
"" appears for a title.
"Unknown" is displayed
for an album or artist
name, etc.
The screen darkens while
displaying a photo.
The screen turns off.
A message appears.
Cause/Remedy
 The artist information may not exist, depending on
the artist.
 Your settings for date and time may have been reset
because the battery power was used up.
 Connect the player to your computer and
recharge the battery (  page 21), then connect
to Rhapsody service using Best Buy Digital Music
Store (  page 94).
 When playing back Rhapsody Channels, this
function is not available.
Cause/Remedy
 Characters that cannot appear on the player are
included in the title.
 Rename the title with appropriate characters
using the software you used to transfer or
Windows Explorer.
 The data has no data information, such as an album
or artist name, etc.
 There was no operation attempted for the time
selected in "Screensaver Timing" (  page 84).
 Press any button.
 There was no operation attempted for more than 3
minutes while the player was in the pause mode.
 Press any button.
 There was no operation attempted for the period
you set in "Screensaver Timing" when "Screensaver"
is set to "Blank" (  page 84).
 Press any button.
 Set "Screensaver" to other than "Blank. "
 "On-Hold Display" is set to "No. "
 Slide the HOLD switch to the opposite position
(  page 11).
 Set "On-Hold Display" to "Yes" (  page 67). You
can play back a video even when the HOLD
function is activated.
