c) Installation in asphalt
•
It is possible to place MADPSP cables directly into asphalt
providing that the pattern shown in figure 2 is complied
with.
•
Before the installation it is necessary to apply another layer
of heat- shrink insulation onto the heat cable connector and
terminal head. The heat- shrink insulation is supplied
separately in Assembly Kit No. 5.
•
The temperature of the asphalt which is in contact with the
cable must not exceed 240°C for period of 30min.
•
The asphalt layer shall be placed on the cable manually.
Layer compaction shall be carried out by a manual vibrating
plate or by a road roller.
•
In case of installation over a large area, it is necessary to
lay the first layer onto the cable manually and to compact
the layer manually, too. Only the next layer may be laid by
heavy machinery.
•
If you intend to heat just the drive- strips of the total
asphalt surface, we recommend placing a gravel base layer
in the places intended
0 - 4mm), or place a geo- textile fabric underneath.
However, we do not recommend this procedure for larger
applications.

c) Montáž do asfaltu
•
Kabely MADPSP je možno instalovat přímo do asfaltu dle
skladby uvedené na obrázku níže.
•
Před instalací je nutno opatřit spojku a koncovku topného
kabelu další vrstvou tepelně smrštitelné izolace, která je
dodává na samostatně v Montážním kitu č. 5.
•
Teplota asfaltu, který přijde do styku s kabelem nesmí
překročit 240°C po dobu max. 30 min.
•
Vrstva asfaltu se na kabel pokládá ručně a hutnění se
provádí ruční vibrační deskou nebo válcem.
•
V případě větších ploch je nutno na kabel položit ručně
první vrstvu a zhutnit ručně a teprve další vrstva se může
pokládat těžkou technikou.
•
Pokud v asfaltové ploše chce vyhřívat jen pojezdové pásy
doporučujeme v místě vytápění vytvořit štěrkový podsyp
(frakce 0 - 4mm), nebo položit geotextilii. U větších aplikací
tento postup nedoporučujeme.
