    User Guide Using the pointing device The keyboard features a pointing device (1), which controls the cursor on the screen. You can point to, select and drag objects on the screen using the built-in pointing device.     User Guide Using the mouse Your computer is delivered with a wireless optical mouse, which has no cables to plug in and uses a light-emitting diode (LED) instead of a ball. You can use the mouse anywhere you feel comfortable within a range of approx. 10 m* of the receiver. Avoid using the mouse on a piece of glass or other transparent material, as this can interfere with smooth cursor movement on the screen.

Two AA batteries, specific for use in the wireless mouse, are supplied with your VAIO. To connect the wireless mouse, proceed as follows: Turn the wireless mouse over and slide the power button to the OFF position (1).

You can exchange digital data with a number of compatible products, such as digital cameras, mobile phones or handheld devices.

And is used to interconnect digital cameras, digital music players, desktop computers, handheld PCs, personal communicators, Palm PCs, digital voice recorders and photo printers.

The card is automatically detected by your system and will appear with its own icon under My Computer. ✍ Do not force a CompactFlash card into the slot. It may damage the connector pins.     User Guide Connecting a display You can connect multiple displays to your desktop, each using a different port on the back of your computer: ❑ a DVI-D port to connect a DVI monitor ® Models with the NVIDIA GeForce with the High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) specification. To view contents that require the HDCP specification for playback or output, use an HDCP-compliant display.

    User Guide Restoring a driver System Restore is a feature of Microsoft Windows XP that restores your computer to a previous state, if a problem occurs, without losing your personal data files. System Restore monitors changes to the system, and it automatically creates easily identified restore points. These restore points allow you to revert the system to a previous time.
