The more coffee beans are added to the grinding container, the coarser the grinding
result will be. To produce very fi ne coffee powder, fewer coffee beans should
therefore be poured into the grinding container.
4. Insert the grinding container back into the motor unit. When you do this, make sure
that the handle of the grinding container (5) fi ts in the recess which is provided for it
(Picture A1 + A2).
5. Place the lid on the grinding container so that the On / Off switch (7) fi ts correctly on
the contact for the On / Off switch (1) (Picture B). Otherwise the device cannot be
switched on.
6. Completely unwind the mains cable from the cable winder (3) and plug into a properly
installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
7. Hold the motor unit (2) securely with one hand, press down the On / Off switch and
keep it pressed down (Picture C). The grinding process will start.
8. Let go of the On / Off switch again once the coffee has been ground to the level of
fi neness you want.
9. Remove the mains plug from the plug socket.
10. Take off the lid and remove the grinding container from the motor unit by the handle.
The freshly ground coffee can now be processed further.
The grinding container should be cleaned before switching to another type of coffee
(see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).

Cleaning and Storage

NOTES
• Before commencing the cleaning, note the safety instructions in the
"Safety Instructions" chapter!
• Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring
sponges to clean the device. These can damage the surface.
• Tap out the grinding container (4) with blade insert (6) and the lid (7) after each use
and wipe them out with a brush or a cloth if necessary. If they are very dirty, a mild
detergent and warm water can be used.
• All parts must be completely dry before they are reinserted and used or stored away.
• Wipe down the motor unit (2) with a soft cloth. With more intense soiling, a damp cloth
can be used.
• Check the mains cable regularly for any damage.
Store the device and all accessories in a dry, clean, frost-free place that is protected

from direct sunlight and cannot be accessed by children or animals.
