When initially powered up, the Leto motor will perform an initialisation routine as
detailed in the Technical Manual. During initialisation, the unit will rotate and
temporarily draw the max rated current.

operating the Leto motor:
The Leto motor uses semiconductors which can be damaged by
electrostatic discharge (ESD). The motor must be handled and
stored in an ESD safe environment.
The Leto motor supply voltage is 24V DC, using up to 600mA.
Do not hot-plug the power supply.
I²C interface voltage is 3.3V and requires pull-ups to this voltage.
It is not tolerant of higher voltages, e.g. 5V.
