  • Page 8 3. Intended Use (Indications of Use) The Motif Twist Double Electric Breast Pump is intended for use by lactating women to express and collect breast milk. The Twist can be used as a single or double pump. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless they are under supervision or instruction by persons responsible for their safety.

  • Page 10 Always inspect power adapter wires prior to use for damage or exposed wire. If damage is found, immediately discontinue use of power adapter and call Motif Medical® Customer Service. • The Motif Medical® Twist should not be positioned so that it is difficult to operate the adapter.
  • Page 11 Do not thaw frozen breast milk in a microwave or in a pan of boiling water. • If tubing becomes moldy, discontinue use and replace with new tubing. • If breast milk backup occurs you must clean tubing before your next pumping session.   • Page 18 7. STERILIZATION AND CLEANING Cleaning Instructions 1. Thoroughly wash your hands with warm soap and water. 2. Disassemble each breast pump part that came into contact with breast milk. This includes the valves, bottles, breast shields, and nipples. *Do not clean the tubing or diaphragms.
