@Beverley Svarc I discovered that the alarm can be shut off by pressing the appropriate alarm button, then pressing again until the alarm light goes off. Holding the button down did not shut off the alarm permanently on the unit I have. A serious failure of the printed instructions!
How do I disable an alarm setting for a day or two?
To disable the alarm on the Timex TW500 for a day or two without turning it off entirely, press and release the Power/Alarm Reset Button when the alarm sounds. This will silence the alarm and reset it to go off at the same time the next day. If you need to disable the alarm for multiple days, you may need to turn it off completely and then turn it back on when needed.
