If Data Security (also called WEP or Encryption) is enabled at the Access Point, enter the encryption key
in the Network Key text box.
Input is case sensitive!
The data security function prevents unauthorised access to your network. It is strongly recommended
that you enable data security after having checked that communication can be established. For details
on changing the Access Point settings, consult the Access Point documentation.
After having changed the Access Point settings, change the settings for the Wireless LAN PC Card
accordingly.

Click Connect.
The computer connects to the Access Point.
For more information on establishing a connection, consult your Windows XP online help files.
Configuring communication setting for Peer to Peer mode
To configure communication setting for Peer to Peer mode, proceed as follows:

From the Start menu, select Control Panel and double-click Network Connections.

Right-click Wireless Network Connection and click Properties.
The Wireless Network Connection Properties appears.

Click the Wireless Network tab.

Make sure that the Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings check box is selected.

Click the Add button in the Preferred Networks area.
The Wireless Network Properties appears.

Enter an alphanumeric name for the profile in the Network Name (SSID) field (letters, numbers and
symbols are allowed).

Select the This is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network; wireless access points are not used
check box.
