General Weighing Operation

1. Place the scale on a hard, level surface.
2. Press the /TARE button to turn the scale on. The display will turn on, show "88888", then
zero when it is ready for use. If the display does not show zero, press the
reset the scale to zero.
3. Your scale is set at the factory to weigh in pound/ounces. To switch between pound/ounces (lb
oz), and grams (g), press the "UNIT" button.
4. Place the item to be weighed on the center of the platform. The weight will display. As you add
weight, the weight displayed increases.
5. The scale will turn off automatically after approximately 1 minute of non-use or if there is no
change in weight after approximately 3 minutes. Press and hold the
scale off manually.
Tare Operation
If you wish to weigh ingredients in a bowl or other container (not included). In this case, you will
need to tare, or offset, the weight of the bowl so that only the weight of the ingredients is displayed.
1. Choose a container that will safely balance on the platform without tipping or falling. Do not use
a heavy container, as this might reduce the maximum capacity of the scale.
2. While the scale is off, place the empty container on the scale platform. Turn the scale on. The
display will turn on, show "88888" and then zero. The weight of the container has been zeroed
out.
3. Add the ingredient to be weighed. The weight of the ingredient alone will display.
4. When weights have been tared out, the display will show a negative number when the items are
removed from the scale. To reset the scale back to zero for a new measurement, press the
TARE button. The scale resets to zero.

Warranty

Denmark and Finland. This warranty period begins on the day the product is purchas-
ed or delivered. Champion Nordic has no obligation to repair or replace products that
are not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase. This warranty applies only to pro-
ducts purchased and used for home use and does not cover damage resulting from
abuse, failure to comply with the instructions from Champion Nordic, cases in which
the product has been modified or subjected to unauthorized repair, improper packa-
ging on the part of the owner, normal wear and tear, or improper handling on the part
of a transport company.
Correct Disposal of this product
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other
household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the
environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it
responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
