When I double-click an application icon a message such as You must insert the application CD into your CD-
ROM drive appears and the software does not start.
Some titles require specific files that are located on the application CD-ROM. Insert the disk and try


starting the program again.
Make sure you place the disk in the tray with the label side facing up.


The disk tray does not eject even when the Eject button is pressed
Check that the notebook is turned on.


The application software when burning a CD may prohibit it.


The disk tray ejects even when it has been locked into place
Ensure that the disk is placed with the label side facing up.


Clean the disk and the CD-RW drive lens.


The disk may be scratched. Place another disk to see if that is the reason.


There may be condensation in the drive. Remove the disk and leave the drive open for approximately


one hour.

About sound

My speakers are not producing sound
The built-in speakers may be turned off. Press <Fn>+<F3> to turn on the speakers.


The speaker volume may be turned to the minimum. Press <Fn>+<F4>, and then press


the volume.
If your computer is powered by battery, check that the battery is inserted properly and that it is charged.


If you are using an application that has its own volume control, check that the volume is turned up.
