Your notebook is equipped with the Bluetooth™ wireless technology*. This new technology allows wireless
communication over short distances and completely eliminates the need of using cables.
* The Bluetooth™ availability depends on the model and your country of residence.
Communicating with another Bluetooth™ device
With the BlueSpace software, you can connect your notebook to a Bluetooth™ device such as another
notebook, a mobile phone or a modem station without any cable.

To communicate with another Bluetooth™ device, proceed as follows:

Click Start on the Windows® taskbar, then go to Programs; click BlueSpace and then again
BlueSpace.
The BlueSpace window appears

Click the Bluetooth™ button in the Bluespace main window.
The Bluetooth™ services are activated and the Bluetooth™ indicator lights. Also, information about the
local device appears in the local device information area of the main window.

Click the Device Discovery button.

Select the remote device. If necessary, click the up or down arrows in the remote device information to
make your selection.

Click the remote device information.
A Service Discovery is started for the remote device that you click. When the Service Discovery is
complete, the left and right sides of the service buttons found (the service buttons provided by both the
local and remote devices) turn on.
