1.0 BEFORE INSTALLATION
Congratulations you have bought one of the most environmentally friendly scale prevention systems. This system does not
waste any water, uses no electricity, no salt and no electrical valve is required. It basically converts the calcite in water into
harmless crystals which minimises scale formation. Please read through all the instructions carefully before proceeding with
the installation. Be sure to follow any special plumbing codes in your area. You can also contact your local dealer if you are
having problems installing it. Diagram 1 illustrates the plumbing connections that are needed to install the system.
Please make sure that the XBB20-FT-300 system is not directly exposed to the sun. The ultra violet from the sun can cause
damage to the plastic housings.
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE WITH WATER THAT IS MICROBIOLOGICALLY UNSAFE OR WITH WATER OF UNKNOWN
QUALITY WITHOUT ADEQUATE DISINFECTION BEFORE OR AFTER THE SYSTEM. SYSTEM CERTIFIED FOR CYST
RECDUCTION MAY BE USED ON DISINFECTED WATER THAT MAY CONTAIN FILTERABLE CYSTS. PLEASE HAVE
THE SYSTEM SERVICED REGULARY, PREFERABLY EVERY 6 MONTHS.

3.0 MOUNTING THE FRONTIER XBB20-FT-300
There are two types of Frontier XBB20- FT-300 anti-scale systems. The first system is wall mounted and the second has a
stainless steel stand. However, they both use the same type of cartridges. The system comes with 2 x ¾" male to 1" male
brass fittings. XBB20-FT300SS does not need any mounting. Go to section 4 if you have this system.
3.1 XBB20-FT300 Mounting instructions.
The mounting bracket has been packed upside down in the original packaging. The mounting bracket will need to be
unscrewed and turned the right way up before installation. The bracket is fully marked with the order of each cartridge type.
The cartridge is already inside the housings. Please ensure that the housings are placed in the correct order to prevent
incorrect installation.

- Page 2 After unscrewing the bracket and turn it the right way up, check the inlet of the housing for the water flow direction. There is an arrow marked on the inlet and outlet of the housing cap. Make sure the system is installed in the right order. SEDIMENT-X is the first stage (water INLET) Carbon-X is the second stage FT-300 is the third stage (water OUTLET)
