EXP. COMPENSATION
Use exposure compensation when photograph-
ing very bright, very dark, or high-contrast sub-
jects.
Choose positive (+) values
to increase exposure
Choose negative (–) values
to reduce exposure

• Exposure compensation is available in B mode only.
• At settings other than ±0, a i icon is displayed in the monitor. Exposure compensation is not reset when the
camera is turned off ; to restore normal exposure control, choose a value of ±0. Exposure compensation is dis-
abled if the fl ash fi res when set to AUTO or q (auto with red-eye reduction); when the fl ash is set to T or r,
exposure compensation is disabled if the subject is dark.
