F AF MODE

In M and F modes (pg. 37), this option
controls how the camera focuses when
Intelligent Face Detection is off (pg. 21).
Regardless of the option selected, the camera will
focus on the subject in the center of the monitor
when macro mode is on (pg. 25).
■ F AF MODE: w CENTER
The camera focuses on the
subject in the center of the
monitor. This option can be
used with focus lock.

■ F AF MODE: x MULTI
When the shutter button is pressed halfway, the
camera detects high-contrast subjects near the
center of the monitor and selects the focus area
automatically.
