3.1.4 Gain
The gain submenu enables you to adjust the sensitivity of the instrument. Its unit is dB. The higher is
the gain, the more sensitive the instrument is, and vise versa. The adjustment range is from 0 to 110dB.

3.1.5 Compensation
Owing to the different degrees of roughness of surface of the detected object and the test block
calibrating the instrument, in the practical detection, you need to increase (or decrease) the sensitivity of
instrument to reduce the influence caused by the surface of the detected object. The range of adjustment is
from -40 to +40 dB. The values used in the adjustment are related to the gain values.

3.1.6 Scale
This function enables you to adjust the display mode of the screen coordinate.
