Outside access: enable calls to numbers other
than those in the Closed user group. This feature
depends on the nature of your CUG subscription.
Default group: enable the default CUG, if you
have set one with your service provider. When
making a call, you are given the option of using
your default CUG, instead of selecting one from the
list.
Deactivate: deactivate the CUG function, if the
default group is enabled or a CUG index is
selected.

Band selection

(Menu 3.7)
For the phone to make and receive phone calls, it
must register with an available network.
Your phone can handle any of the following types of
networks: GSM 1800 and Combined GSM 850/1900.
The country where you purchased your phone
determines the default band that it uses. When you
travel abroad, you must remember to change to an
appropriate band.
When you select a new band, your phone
automatically searches for all available networks. Your
phone registers with a preferred network within the
band.

Sound settings

Use this menu to customise various sound settings.

Ring tone

(Menu 4.1)
Use this menu to select a ring tone for the call ringer.
You can select one of the default ring melodies,
downloaded sounds, or the melodies you have
created.

Ring volume

(Menu 4.2)
Use this menu to adjust the ringer volume.

Alert type

(Menu 4.3)
Use this menu to specify how you are to be informed
of incoming calls.
Melody: the phone rings using the selected ring
tone.
