Installation Introduction I. Site Preparation When a suitable installation location is identified, you will need to determine if the system will be mounted horizontally as recommended, or vertically if necessary (if mounting vertically, the outlet will need to be at the top and a TRV is required). -

3. Place the o-ring over the exposed end of the glass thimble and seat the o-ring firmly against the thread, as shown above. 4. When the o-ring is seated, install the knurled nut onto the chamber to seal the o-ring against the sealing nut. -

III. Installing the UV Lamp When, and only when the chamber and thimble are deemed to be water-tight and free of leaks, can the lamp be installed. Handle the lamp only by the plastic end caps, and support it by both ends. 1. -

Maintenance I. Replacement Parts Ultraviolet systems are rated based on a dosage level of UV-C radiation into the water (mJ/cm²), with 30mJ/cm² being the standard level of disinfection and a minimum dose of 40mJ/cm² required to comply with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines. Ultraviolet Lamps are rated with a 9000-hour (1 year) lifespan, after which point the lamp will naturally degrade and the level of radiation produced by the lamp cannot be guaranteed. -
