Push the rail along the server until the studs fit securely into the notches; an audible click indicates that the rail is secure. Click!     Note: Use only drives that have been tested and approved for use with the SAS backplane board. Identifying the failed drive Before you can replace the failed drive, you must identify which drive has failed. Remove the front bezel, if present in your configuration (Figure SVR-D2U-R710 Installation and Replacement Guide...
  • Page 12 A failed drive will have an amber LED indicator. Replacing the failed drive Once you have identified the failed drive: 1.   • Page 13 Close the handle to lock the drive in place. Once you have installed the replacement drive, you must add the drive to the drive configuration through the service menu. 3.     1. Disconnect the power cable from the power source and the power supply you intend to remove and remove the cables from the Velcro s trap. 2. Press the lever release latch and slide the power supply out of the chassis (Figure 11). SVR-D2U-R710 Installation and Replacement Guide...
