AUXILIARY VALVE

INSTALLATION

A small amount of early production GraverMachs and Max SCs have an incorrectly sized hole in
the front sheet metal cover. This hole does not allow the external valve stem o-ring (002-333) to
compress properly and may allow some air to escape around the valve stem. Please read the
following instructions carefully. If you feel uncomfortable in making this repair, contact your
selling dealer or GRS Tools and request a Return Goods number for a no-cost warranty repair.
Always disconnect the air supply and unplug the power supply from the back of the machine before
performing any of the following procedures.
The following tools will be needed to complete this modification:
• Medium flat blade screwdriver
• 1/2" thin wall socket and wrench
GraverMax SC
As you look at the front of the machine, remove the side
1
cover on the right side. This is done by using a 1/8" hex key
and removing the 2 button head screws at the top of the
side cover and loosen the 3 button head screws at the
bottom of the side cover. Gently lift the side cover off. (Note:
You may have to loosen the button head screws on the back
panel to relax the cover to allow for easier removal.)
