b – Power
This apparatus can either be battery operated or run on the main current.
Battery operation.
Use a 9V 6F22 battery (not included).
To insert the battery, turn the apparatus over
and open the battery case cover (Figure 3).
Plug the battery into the connector and
replace the cover.
The battery needs to be replaced when the
symbol « LO » appears on the screen.
Using the main current.
Use a 230V AC / 9V DC current adapter (Ref.
281 286) with a central negative terminal
(adapter not included).
Connect the adapter to the socket located on
the back of the scale (Figure 4). The timed
shutoff function is automatically deactivated
when using the scale on the main current with
an adapter.
c – Turning the apparatus on and off
Pressing the « I/tare » key turns the scale on. The scale will then display «
8.8.8.8 », which corresponds to zeroing.
Wait until the scale displays « 0 », indicating that it is ready to weigh.
After use, turn the scale off by pressing the « 0 » key.
d – Tare function
Once the scale is running, place the empty container on the weighing platform.
Then press the « I/TARE » key. The display will then indicate « 0 ». The «
symbol will then be displayed on the screen, indicating that the tare function is
on. Then weigh the desired mass of the substance in the container.
The combined mass of the container and its contents can be measured by
pressing the « I/TARE » key again; the « » symbole will then disappear from
the screen.
