CAUTION:
Always turn water OFF before removing existing faucet
or disassembling the valve. Open valve handles to relieve water pressure and
to insure that complete water shut-off has been accomplished.
Before installing diverter device, make sure that the hex cap is in place. The hex
cap was properly installed and tested before leaving the factory. Although it is
unlikely, it is possible that through the handling of the diverter by any number of
persons the hex cap may not be properly installed. This should be carefully
checked at time of installation. If the hex cap is not properly installed, water pres-
sure could force the cartridge holder out of the casting. Personal injury or water
damage to the premises could result.

Toujours couper l'alimentation en eau avant d'enlever
ou de démonter le robinet. Ouvrir la poignée du robinet pour libérer la pression
d'eau et pour s'assurer que l'alimentation en eau a bien été coupée.
Avant d'installer le dispositif de dérivation, s'assurer que le bouchon hexagonal
soit en place. Le bouchon hexagonal a été installé correctement et testé avant de
sortir de l'usine. Quoi que ce ne soit pas probable, il est possible qu'à cause du
maniement du dérivateur par un nombre de personnes, le bouchon hexagonal ne
soit pas correctement installé. Ceci doit être vérifié soigneusement pendant l'in-
stallation. Si le bouchon hexagonal n'est pas correctement installé, la pression
d'eau peut forcer le soutien de la cartouche à sortir du moulage. Des blessures
peronnelles ou endommagement des locaux par inondation pourraient en résulter.

mezclador existente o desmontar la válvula. Abra ambas manijas de las válvulas
para desahogar la presión del agua y asegurarse que se ha logrado un cierre
completo del agua.
Antes de instalar el aparato desviador, asegúrese de que la tapa hexagonal esté
en su lugar. La tapa hexagonal ha sido correctamente instalada y probada antes
de salir de la fábrica. Aunque no sea probable, es posible que debido a la manip-
ulación del desviador por un número de personas la tapa hexagonal ya no esté
instalada correctamente. Esto se debería chequear bien cuidadosamente en el
momento de la instalación. En caso que la tapa no esté correctamente instalada,
la presión del agua podría forzar el retén del cartucho fuera de su lecho. Esto
podría ocasionar heridas personales u daños al local por inundación de agua.

1. Before drilling, determine the location of the diverter device. Installation allows
for minimum of 5" (127mm) and maximum of 16" (406mm) between the hand-
shower deck post and the diverter device and a 3" (76mm) maximum deck
thickness. Drill a 1-1/2" (38mm) diameter hole for the deck post and for the
diverter device.
