Fuses are simple circuit breakers, which protect

electrical equipment by preventing the electrical

circuits from being overloaded. A 'blown' fuse is

indicated when the electrical equipment it protects

becomes inoperative. Check a suspect fuse by

removing it from the fuse box and looking for a

break in the wire inside the fuse.

Renewing a fuse

Always turn off the ignition switch and the

appropriate electrical circuit before removing a

fuse. Always replace a fuse with another of the
15A
same (or lower) rating. If a replacement fuse blows

almost immediately, this indicates a serious
electrical problem and the circuit MUST be checked
by Caterham.
