Recommendations for positioning of a vibration sensor

In shown illustation the X-axis correlates to the middle of the motor- shaft.
Vibration sensor schould be aligned orthogonal onto the middle of the motor-shaft (in
positive or in negative direction).
In order to avoid the gravity influences positioning along the Y-axis should be preferred
(assuming installation- positioning as shown in the illustration).
Offset between sensor and A-side bearing should be as small as possible in order to
minimize measuring errors caused by prying effects.
Sensor should be positioned as near as possible to the A-side bearing, see illustration.
Screw thread of the sensor should be secured with locking varnish.
Predetermined vibration levels are pointed out in chapter 8 ff.
