    3.5 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Familiarize yourself with the operation manual and carefully read the safety instructions and all labels on the machine. If the machine is to be used by another party, make sure that the user reads the operating and safety instructions before handing over the machine. 2.

    19. The controls of the loader have to be placed into the cab, which fulfils the requirements. 20. It is forbidden to loosen support legs from the transport package before the loader is fitted to the lower arms of the tractor - the loader will otherwise lose its stability. Always use support legs during loader operation.

    3.8 DRIVING ON A ROAD On public roads, always keep equipment required by traffic laws mounted and the lights turned on. Also keep the tractor's safety triangle in place. Keep the reflectors and lamps clean. Remember that the weight of the loader can lead to a reduction of steering control. 3.9 STRUCTURAL CHANGER Do not make any structural changes in the machine without the manufacturer's consent to avoid reducing its working capacity or safety or shortening its operational life.

    OPERATING THE MACHINE 4.1 PROPERTIES OF THE MACHINE IN BRIEF Nokka loaders are designed for wood loading in farm forestry work. When equipped with accessories manufactured by Nokka Oy, the loaders are suitable for loading of ground, feed, solid dung, round bales and corresponding materials used in farming.

    Maximum lifting capacity of models Nokka loaders without the rotator and the log grab. Lifting capacities are measured according to different boom positions. Lifting capacity is approximately 145 kg lower when operating with the rotator and the log grab (60 kg to Nokka HK 1042P).

    4.4 PREPEARING FOR USE The loader will be supplied to retail dealer and further to the customer on a transport stand or mounted on the loader mounting pad of the forest trailer. Unpacking from the stand and preparing the loader for work is done in the following way: 1.

The return hose is located in the left end, seen from the hoses, and the pressure hose is in the right end. The return hose is equipped with a female connector, the pressure hose has a male connector.

    4.6 INSPECTION OF ASSEMBLY Test loading has been done in the factory and its information is registered on the log sheet. 1. Check that all the pins, locking pins and other parts important for safety are secured and that the threaded joints are tight. 2.

    4.7 INSPECTIONS DURING USE To ensure trouble-free operation, periodic inspections must be carried out. After the first hour of use, inspect all hoses, fittings and rams for oil leaks. Perform these inspections at regular intervals. The loader equipped with any accessory or protective guard not presented in this booklet, is not included in the factory´s conventional delivery.

    4.9 WORKING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Keep parking brake on when using the loader. 2. Make sure there are no people in the working area. 3. Take care that you can see the whole working area without difficulty. 4. Start working the loader with low engine revs to keep the movements of the loader slow.

    MAINTENANCE 5.1 SAFETY IN MAINTENANCE WORK Before carrying out any servicing, adjustment or cleaning work or mounting any accessories: 1. Disengage the hydraulic power output 2. Fully lower the equipment. 3. Stop the engine. 4. WAIT until all parts have come to a standstill. 5.

    5.3 LUBRICATION Lubricate the loader after every 16 hours of operation. Apply lubricant until it slightly runs over from the part being applied. Give two applications of lubricant to the lubricant nipple of the gear rack slide pad. To make lubrication of the vertical boom’s top head easier, the turning cylinders and support legs have been scored.

    5.5 POWERLESS LOADER MOTIONS If the lifting power of the loader does not correspond to the values specified for it, check the following points: 1. Measure the tractor take-out pressure: it should be over 185 bar. 2. Measure the pressure of the hydraulic return line; max. 5 bar, preferably under 2 bar. If the pressure exceeds the maximum, arrange a free return line in the tractor.

    5.7 ADJUSTING THE TELESCOPE CHAINS The right way to adjust the chains is done by measuring the distance from the 2-telescopeear to the end of the 1-telescope. Right distance is 5 - 10 mm (see the picture below). If the distance is less than 5 - 10 mm, the telescope is adjusted out by tightening the chain tightener on the boom and if needed loosening the lower tightener under boom.

    5.8 STORAGE If the forestry trailer is not in use, it's working condition and resale value can be maintained by proper storage. Clean the machine and repaint any worn or rusty spots carefully before putting it into storage. Lubricate all greasing points and apply a thin layer of lubricant on places which cannot be painted or greased.

    WARRANTY POLICY Nokka Oy (the manufacturer) grants its products a warranty for the period of 12 months from the delivery date of the machine to the customer. However, the warranty is applicable in compliance with the policy only to claims submitted to the manufacturer within 3 years of the delivery date of the product to the representative of the factory or retailer.
