    Finding Words Puzzle Master helps you find answers to crossword puzzles by finding missing letters. Type a ? in place of each letter that you do not know and let Puzzle Master find all possible matches from its word list. 1.
  • Page 6 Finding Words Viewing Help Information You can view help information at most screens by pressing HELP. Help infor- mation automatically scrolls right on the screen and returns to the place where HELP was pressed. Follow the Arrows The flashing arrows show which arrow keys you can press to view more.
  • Page 7 Finding More Words If the word you are looking for is not on a Crossword list, press MORE to find more pos- sibilities. When you press MORE, Puzzle Mas- ter substitutes a letter for one that you have typed. Try this example. 1.

    Finding Phrases Puzzle Master can also find phrases that in- clude a key word. 1. Type a word in a phrase (e.g., CAT ). 2. Press ENTER to check for correct spelling. 3. Press PHRASE. NOTE: You can also press PHRASE from the Ready screen.
  • Page 9 Finding Words by Topic You can even narrow your search by topic. There are close to 200 topics from which to choose. Topics range from Academics to Zo- ology . 1. Press TOPICS. The Topics menu appears. 2. Type the letters of a topic you want. Puzzle Master finds the topics in alphabeti- cal order.
  • Page 10 Finding Words by Topic Another way to find Words by Topic To find a list of the words associated with a specific topic, first select a topic (e.g., Games & sports ). Press ENTER. Next en- ter ?’s to determine how long the words in the list will be (e.g., ???? ).
  • Page 11 Setting the Skill Level for Games Puzzle Master includes three games that enhance your crossword puzzle solving skills -- Anagram Solver, Crossword Quiz, and Anagrams. To set the skill level for the games, follow these instructions. 1. Press GAMES. The first time you enter the Games Menu, the message Select a game appears.
