5. Install the new hinge cover.
6. Reconnect the external cables and power cords to the corresponding connectors on the computer.
7. Position the computer to see the front side of the computer.

Prerequisite
Before you start, read Chapter 2 "Important service information" on page 27 and print the following
instructions.
Before you open the computer back cover, turn off the computer and wait several minutes until the computer
is cool.
Replacement procedure
1. Remove the hinge cover. See "Hinge cover" on page 57.
2. Place a soft, clean towel or cloth on the desk or surface. Hold the sides of your computer and gently lay
it down so that the screen is against the surface and the computer cover is facing up.
CAUTION:
Do not lift from the top of the LCD panel so that the integrated camera and microphone module
will not be broken.
