Recline Operation The backrest angle can be reclined from 95 to 125 degrees. In order to recline the chair: • Before reclining, the caregiver should ensure the chair is in a slight tilt position to prevent the user from sliding out while reclining. •...

Operating Instructions (cont.) Lateral Supports The lateral supports are detachable and interchangeable. They can be used in various combinations, individually or collectively, to provide upper-body or lateral support. To adjust the lateral supports: • Unscrew the grip knobs counterclockwise slightly until the gap is large enough to detach the support (Figure 5).

Armrest Adjustment The armrests are hinged and height adjustable. To flip back the armrests for lateral transfers: • Remove the lateral supports on the side of the lateral transfer. • Unscrew the grip knob on the side of the lateral transfer (located directly underneath the armrest on the seat frame) counterclockwise until the armrest can be lifted up freely.

Operating Instructions (cont.) 20" Optional Wheels The chair has a detachable 20" wheel set. To attach the wheels: • Engage all four caster locks prior to attaching the wheels. • Push down on the adjustment lever located on the wheel-mounting bracket to elevate the sleeve where the wheel will attach (Figure 9).

Legrest & Foot Plate To adjust the legrest angle: • Pull the release lever located under the seat on the front left side (Figure 11). • Raise or lower the legrest to the desired position. During this process, the caregiver should also use his or her other hand to help guide the legrest into place.

Transfers Always follow your facility’s policies for transfers, in addition to these precautions: • All four caster locks must be engaged prior to a transfer. • Place the chair in the full upright position. Additionally, fold the foot plate in the upward position and the legrest in the stored position.
If you believe a component or part is not functioning properly, you should cease use of the chair and contact Direct Supply immediately. • WARNING: Do not use the chair if it shows any signs of deterioration or excessive wear and tear.
