AINTENANCE
HECKLIST
This list is a quick reference sheet for
suggested areas of regular maintenance.
Review all OEM operator's manuals supplied
with
your
RV
to
maintenance items.
Prior to First Trip
_ Inspect and reseal as needed.
_ Have the propane system checked for
leaks by your dealer.
_ Check wheel lug nuts at specified intervals
to listed torque specifications, re-torque as
needed.
_ Open all windows and the entry door, start
the furnace (if so equipped). Leave the
windows and door open and the furnace
ON until the odor from the initial use of the
furnace is fully dissipated.
_ Sanitize the fresh water system.
_ Test the safety alarms.
First Two-Hundred Miles
_ Check wheel nuts at specified intervals to
listed torque values. Re-torque as needed.
_ Have brakes adjusted by a qualified
service technician.
Each Trip
_ Inspect and reseal as needed.
_ Check the auxiliary battery (customer
supplied)
_ Have the propane system checked for
leaks by your dealer.
_ Check the running lights.
_ Check tire pressure and wear, including
spare (if so equipped). Make sure the tires
are cold when checking the tire pressure.
_ If so equipped, flush out water heater tank.
_ Inspect safety chains for signs of wear.
_ Test brakes.
_ Test the safety alarms.
After Every Tire Change
_ Tighten wheel nuts to specified torque
values at 10, 25 and 50 miles (16, 40, and
80 kilometers) to assure that they are
correctly "seated" after the tire change.
Daily
_ Ensure the propane alarm operation light is
green in color.

_ Recharge the auxiliary battery (customer
supplied) after each use.
Weekly
_ Inspect and reseal as needed.
_ Have the propane system checked for
leaks by your dealer.
_ Check tire pressure and wear, including
spare (if so equipped). Make sure the tires
are cold when checking the tire pressure.
_ Test the safety alarms.
Monthly
_ Inspect and reseal as needed.
_ Check fire extinguisher pressure. Refer to
the fire extinguisher label for specific
instructions.
_ Clean
and
lubricate

_ Test the GFCI (if so equipped)
Every Three Months or 3,000 Miles
_ Inspect and reseal as needed.
_ Have the propane system checked for
leaks by your dealer.
_ Check wheel nuts at specified intervals to
listed torque values. Re-torque as needed.
Refer to the axle manufacturer's manual.
_ Check, clean, tighten and lubricate battery
cables.
_ If applicable, compare refrigerator pilot
flame with ideal flame (refer to the
refrigerator OEM manual). Have cleaned
and adjusted as necessary by a qualified
RV technician.
_ If applicable, compare water heater pilot
flame with ideal flame (refer to the water
heater OEM manual). Have cleaned and
adjusted as necessary by a qualified
technician.
_ Drain and sanitize fresh water system.
_ Examine the tires for unusual wear,
sidewall
defects
bulging and abrasions.
_ Have brakes adjusted by a qualified
service technician.
_ Inspect propane cylinders for rust, pits,
gouges, scrapes or sharp dents. Repaint
or replace cylinders if rust is present.
_ Inspect the refrigerator door seals; have
cleaned and adjusted as necessary by a
qualified RV technician.
