If neither key is pressed the dialler immediately dials on. If a message bank answering service responds, the CareAlert will play the help message so it is recorded by the service but then it immediately dials on - it must receive a ‘live’ answer before it ceases dialling. - Page 17 The 2-way communication feature is designed to DISCONNECT after 1 minute but if the star “*” key is again pressed by the CALL RECEIVER after hearing a series of beeps, communication will continue. The location of a home access key should be known to the attendee/s of an emergency call. The CareAlert KeySafe Lock is an excellent product for securing your keys outside. PrecaUtions and maintenance To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not attempt to open the Smart Dialler unit. The backup battery in the Smart Dialler is designed to protect you in the event of a power failure. Within a few seconds of losing main’s power a voice message over the loud speaker of the dialler will advise ‘mains Power is not detected’. -

POWER ADAPTOR The 240-Volt AC Power Adaptor has a built in fusible link that will fuse if more than 300 volts is recorded. This is to help prevent any damage to your CareAlert Smart Dialler in the event of a Power Surge. Should this fuse blow you will need to purchase a new Power Adaptor online. -
