Low Battery Indicator When the batteries run low, this icon will appear on the screen, flash twice and the unit will power off. Remove the old batteries and replace with a new set. IMPORTANT NOTICE Occasionally, the LCD touch screen may need to be recalibrated. -

8. Automatic Shut Off To preserve battery life, Blue’s Clues & You! Scribble & Write Handy Dandy Notebook will automatically power down after one minute without input. In the unlikely event of an electrostatic discharge, the unit may malfunction and lose memory, requiring the user to reset the device by removing and reinstalling the batteries.
