4-8 TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBABLE CAUSE
Cutter not level side to side.
Worn or bent blades.
Possible build-up of material under Clean cutter.

REMEDY
See SECTION II
Replace blades per paragraph 4-4.

Check al bolts for tightness per
paragraph 20.
Check for proper oil level. Refer to
paragraph 4-2.
Adjust cutter to operate at a height
that will eliminate ground contact.
Reduce ground speed.
Set tractor throttle for proper PTO
speed.
Use lower gear.
Adjust per paragraph 3-2.
Reduce ground speed.
Replace blades per paragraph 4-4.
Set tractor throttle for proper PTO
speed.
Clean blade pan.
Replace blades per paragraph 4-4.
