Replacing Your Acticheck Assure Puck

Why do it?

Your puck is the sealed module that fits into your Assure wriststrap. Each puck needs to be replaced before
its battery fails. You have been sent this replacement, perhaps because of the age of the old one or
because we have detected that your battery is beginning to fade.
Generally, a puck can be replaced in less than 2 minutes. You must be near your Assure base (usually this is
near your internet router) and have your new puck to complete the change.

The steps to take

1. Activating the new puck (if you have multiple bands skip to 6 below)
a. On your base, and press and hold the VOL DOWN
until the BAND light
b. Within the next minute press either or both buttons on your NEW puck.
You should see the lights alternate. You must leave the puck near the base
until the BAND
If the above does not work go to step 6

2. Testing your new puck

Press both buttons on your NEW puck to raise an alert. Check that the base starts the alert sound and
the band buzzes. Press a single button to cancel the alert. If this does not work go to step 6

3. Put your new puck into your wristband

a. Push your old puck out of your wristband.
b. IMPORTANT: Ensure your new puck has the rectangular pattern
containing an arrow shape, and with an indentation near each
end of it, facing away from the wrist as shown right.
c. Push the new puck into the wristband.
d. Refit your wristband.

4. Pairing with the smartphone App

If your old wristband was already paired with a smartphone, the App should automatically update
after 30 minutes. To check, open the App 30 minutes after activating the new puck and you should
see a green tick and a home icon. Now, with the band upright, press and hold a single button for
about 10 seconds. The home icon should change to a green tick. The band and App have now been
updated.
If the above does not work you will need to delete the old pairing and add a new one. Open the
App and go to Settings -> Advanced and select Delete Paired Band. Now go to Settings -> Pair Band
and select Scan then press a single button on your band (whilst it is facing up) for about 10 seconds
starts to flash.
