For devices intended to be fixed and connected to a medical distribution system, the CE marking provided by MIL'S as well as the CE conformity declaration of the product covered by the start-up and maintenance instructions becomes invalid for any relocation to another site/health establishment.
XY OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR To ensure personal safety and to avoid any damage to equipment, it is essential to follow the instructions contained in this document and any other documentation provided with the device, and particularly the instructions on “Safe Practice”. INTRODUCTION We strongly advise you to read these installation instructions, before first switching on your oxygen concentrator.
Above 30 bar No particle larger than 50 µm in size Any modification of the concentrator or its components without MIL'S SAS agreement will mean the specification and purity of the oxygen produced will not be guaranteed. XY OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR The person in charge of the installation has overall responsibility of the product environment requirements. He is also in charge of setting up methods of struggle against fire and to protect the oxygen concentrator against shocks, flooding, earthquake and corrosion.
XY OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR The concentrator must be protected against any crash in case of vehicle or fork-lift truck moving. The oxygen concentrators have to be situated in premises separated from compressed air production devices, vacuum production devices, cylinder bundle supply, static or mobile cryogenic or non-cryogenic vessels. When choosing a location, it is necessary to take in account potential risks (like contamination or fire, for example).
XY OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR One line version with two compressors: Two lines version: It is essential that an air dryer be installed between the compressor and the compressed air receiver. In this way the stored air will be correctly processed by the air dryer. In any contrary case, the strong demand for air by the concentrator during the pressurisation phase will not give sufficient time for the air to be treated to extract the maximum of humidity.
XY OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS Work on the unit should only take place with the electricity supply off. Any connection work should be done only by the exploitaing. Class I device: to avoid any risk of electric shock, this device must only be connected to a power supply network equipped with a protective earth.
Sometimes, during the starting of the compressor, the uninterruptible power supply (inverter) can cause a micro cut. We strongly advise you to set up the inverter proposed by MIL'S SAS. If it is necessary to cut the concentrator electrically, we advise you to stop the concentrator by its On/Off button. When the concentrator is stopped, switch off by the master switch.
XY OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR CONNECTIONS The connecting hose between the air production unit and the filtration line is supplied by MIL'S company. The connection between the filtration line, the receiver(s), the concentrator and the final filtration line is the responsibility of the installer or customer, as well as the power supply of the air production unit and the concentrator.
XY OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR Brazing of piping With the exception of the mechanical fittings used for certain components, all metallic fittings must be brazed or welded. If a filler metal is used, its temperature in the liquid state must not be less than 600°C. The filler metals must be nominally free of cadmium. If silver alloys are used, they must be compliant with ISO 17672.

XY OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR 11.5 Operating under control of single-line concentrator with LP booster (12-bar version) When storage receiver pressure is less than 10.5 bar (measured by C1O), the concentrator starts. At the end of the two cycles of pre-production or if pressure reaches 10 bar, the low-pressure booster starts. When storage receiver pressure reaches 12 bar (measured by C1O), the LP booster stops, and the order is given to stop the concentrator: the concentrator operates during two cycles of production (flexo mode) and stops.

For medical vacuum, one or two backup mechanical vacuum switches will operate the vacuum pumps. For medical oxygen, a second source is present with similar equipment, then Mil's recommends the use of a 3rd source of gas supply operating by pressure difference, independently of any electronic system to ensure patient safety.
