it against unintended use. Safe operation is no longer possible, if the product:
- shows visible damage,
- no longer functions properly,

Installation
If you do not have the expertise to perform the installation, please arrange for the
installation to be carried out by an expert or a suitable specialist shop!
Incorrect installation will damage the product, your computer and all connected de-
vices.
• Switch off the computer used for installation and disconnect all connected devices from the
mains; remove the plugs from the mains power supply! Turning off at the on/off switch is not
enough!
• Open your computer's housing and carefully remove the cover.
• Find a free PCIe slot on your motherboard (PCIe x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16). Remove the respec-
tive slot bracket and insert the USB card into the PCIe slot.
• Connect the PCIe adapter card to the PCIe riser card using the enclosed USB cable (the
orientation is irrelevant since there is a USB A plug on both sides). Feed the cable through
the opening that previously covered the slot plate.
Never connect the USB sockets of the PCIe adapter card or PCIe riser card to a
USB port on the computer. The USB sockets are only used for connecting the two
cards, not for connection to a „real" USB port.
Also, do not use the supplied USB cable to connect USB devices.
Fix the cable so that the PCIe adapter card cannot slip out of the PCIe slot of the mother-
board.
• Use a suitable base for the PCIe riser card. Do not place the device on delicate furniture
without protection.
The PCIe riser card can be screwed into a suitable housing or onto a holder via four
openings.
However, be sure to use a suitable non-conductive washers on both sides of the
board to prevent short-circuit owing to the screws or spacers. The warranty/guaran-
tee will be void!
When using multiple riser cards with multiple graphics cards (when setting up a
crypto-mining rig), make sure there is enough space between the fans on the diffe-
rent graphics cards. This will prevent the graphics card from overheating.
• Insert the PCIe graphics card into the PCIe x16 slot of the PCIe riser card.
• Connect the PCIe riser card and PCIe graphics card power connector to a suitable PC power
supply. Use the enclosed power adaptor cable.
• Close the computer housing.
• Connect the computer and monitor to the mains voltage again and switch on all devices.
• If your computer does not start correctly, switch it off immediately and check all the settings
and cable connections.
Before reopening the PC, disconnect it from the mains. See above!
Care and Cleaning
Before cleaning the product, shut down and turn off all connected devices.
Dust can be removed using a clean, soft brush and vacuum cleaner, for example.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solvents as these
may cause damage.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable material and do not belong in the household was-
te. Dispose of an unserviceable device in accordance with the relevant statutory
regulations.
