- Page 2 2270U / 2270-XXX Electronic Ignitor can be tested as follows to ensure that it is operating properly. Chek-Mate™ (Allanson’s Ignitor/Transformer tester). Use it to touch any brand of ignitor/transformer. Simply touch the high voltage spheres to the high voltage contacts. If the green LED lights up, the unit is performing well.
