RS-232:
Wire the Panel RS-232 projector port to a male DB9 as follows:
TX to

GND to

Connect this male DB9 to the projector port labeled RS-232C/422A.
BE SURE to set the hardware switch labeled RS-232C RS-422A (located near the com port) to RS-232C
III. Additional Projector Information
The Sony has several configurable modes must be set at the time of installation:
DEVICE INDEX SWITCH: The Panel codes assume the projector network ID to 01.
RS-232C/422A: The projector control port must be set to RS-232C.
SIGNAL SELECT: Signal type for inputs A, B, and C must be specified on the on-screen menus.
POWER SAVING: The Sony Power Saving feature will automatically shut the projector off after ten
minutes if it does not receive a valid input signal. You should disable this option in the onscreen
menus – especially if the installation does not include a power current sensor.
PROJECTOR BAUD RATE: The Panel assumes the projector BAUD rate is set to 38,400 (factory
default).
For instructions on configuring these settings appropriately, see Section III, Special Control Note in the
Application Note below.

    DOWN Hidden functions are accessed by pressing the indicated key while the holding the On key down. Hidden functions names are based on the Sony remote and the controls on top of the projector.
